5. Public interactions: the condition screen

Postby Kibosh Support » Sun Sep 06, 2015 7:44 am

The condition screen
The condition screen is where you can view and publicly interact with other members.
Any Kibosh member has their current condition screen and previous past conditions.
The condition screen is divided into the top and bottom sections.

The top section:

On the top you will find the username that this condition is associated with.
If this condition is your own the username will read " (me)" after the username itself and the start chat icon Image will not show up.
In this interface you can

  • View how much experience points the member has accumulated.
  • Toggle the member in and out of your favorites list (more on favorites).
  • Quickly access the Condition description story that was given and see how many times it was viewed by other members.
  • Send a support token Image and see how many of those were received for this condition.
Tapping the big hexagon in the middle will display this condition's definition.
The top right icon in the title Image will quickly open a private chat window with this member.

Experience points are credits earned by the member's activity within the app. Currently, a member needs to have at least 50 experience points to be able to post public support messages.

The lower section has 3 tabs - OVERVIEW, STORY and EVENTS:

OVERVIEW tab

OVtab.png

The OVERVIEW tab provides information about the member which does not relate to their current emotional condition.
This tab is assembled from - Statistics, Profile entries, History graph, Past conditions and My corresponding relationship with this member.

Statistics

The edit profile icon Image will appear only if you are viewing your own condition. Use this to edit your profile fields (see more details).
In this section you will be able to see stats of this member's activity in the community:
  • Experience points.
  • Support tokens they have sent.
  • Gratitude tokens they have received.
  • Spam reports issued upon them by other members.

Profile entries
profilefieldsov.png

The sun icon Image will appear only if you are viewing your own condition. Use this to hide fields from other members (see more details).
The profile fields are the entries that members have filled in about themselves. This gives you basic facts about the member.

History graph
ovHistory.png

The history graph will show the recent conditions over time that this member has recorded and helps you better know their history.

Past conditions
ovpast.png

The past conditions are the same conditions as were previously displayed in the history graph. However, in this section tapping a past condition brings you to this member's past condition screen. There you can view their past condition's story and postings that were given when that condition was current. Note that no new support messages can be posted on any past condition.

My corresponding relationship with this member
ovrel.png

Kibosh has 3 types of relationships between members (Favorites, Buddies, Blacklist). The above 2 buttons indicate the buddy and blacklist status that you have with this member.
These buttons are tappable and will initiate the relationship between you and the member.

Buddy:
This button can show 4 different states that will indicate the buddy status you have with this member. The buddy button can display the following options (depending on the buddy status):
  • Send a buddy request.
  • Accept a pending request.
  • Wait for the other member to respond.
  • Indicate a buddy relationship.

    More on buddies

Blacklist:
Tapping the Blacklist will add this member. While a member is within your Blacklist they won't be able to have any interaction with you.

STORY TAB

STORY tab
STtab.png

The STORY tab is the area in which public communications occur.
The first item in this tab will show the member's condition story - this is the text or audio input that the member has used to describe their condition.
STstory.png

Only when viewing your own condition this section will also include the edit condition icon Image. This will give you quick access to change, edit or review your condition story.
When viewing another member's story you will instead find the option to report the story as spam.

Public support messages
Below the story is the area in which public messages appear. Here the Kibosh community will post replies to this specific story.
Public messages can be added, viewed and voted on by any community member that views this specific STORY tab.
Stpm.png

You can post a new comment (public message) by entering text in the message box and tapping send (paper airplane icon).
STaddmsg.png

In the case that you are viewing your own STORY you will have access to options regarding posted support messages on your story.
STopt.png

These will give an option to send a gratitude (thank you) token to the sender of the message and if you open the '<' options:

You will have the options (left to right) to delete, hide from other members, vote down and vote up on that specific message.

EVENTS TAB

EVENTS tab

In the EVENTS tab you will find events that took place on this condition:

Spam reports, Gratitudes and Support tokens.
If you are viewing your own EVENTS tab, then you could also send back a gratitude for support tokens you have received.

Image Gratitude tokens
Gratitude tokens are a way of saying thank you to other members. They can be sent on public support messages or on support tokens you have received.

Image Support tokens
Support tokens are like a 'pat on the back' and are the easiest way to show support, concern or empathy to the other member.

Image Spam reports
You can mark stories as spam (by tapping the 'report spam' in a STORY tab). If a number of spam reports are issued on the same story, it will be clearly marked on the map as spam.
This will help Kibosh to issue warnings and eventually ban abusive users.
