Condition
Kibosh is a condition based social network that is designed for members to seek and offer support for people recovering from addictions and dependencies of all kinds.

At any given time, each member (or app user) has 2 main elements associated to them:
1. Profile which is assembled from facts about yourself. The profile is usually unchanged, since it does not contain any emotional or psychological element.
2. Condition which is something that is always subject to change since it describes both your state of mind and how stable you are in terms of returning to your pre-recovery behavior.

The condition itself
In Kibosh, you can choose from 5 different conditions rankings varying from D as the worst to A+ as the best.
Generally speaking, A's and A+'s are members who are currently in a stable condition, and might be able to help others.

B's, C's, and D's are "calling conditions". These members are currently in probable need to receive help:

The condition description (or condition story)
To a condition, the member might (or must if they are in a calling condition) add a story to go along with the condition that they have selected.
The story is what the member shares with with the community.
This is what other community members will respond to when posting public support messages (public messages) on this condition's STORY tab.
The story may be written in plain text, or recorded as audio.

Viewing, changing or editing your condition and story
Although there are multiple ways to access the Edit Condition screen, the easiest is tapping the top left hexagon in the menu.
The edit condition screen has 2 parts needed to complete the condition and the story.
First, you must pick one of the conditions A+, A ,B, C, D that best describes your current emotional state:

Add or change the story
Choose the story input method - text or audio:

If you already have a story it will not be automatically deleted; instead your will see your text input:

Or audio input:

Either choose to edit the content by tapping the audio Image or edit text Image icons, or delete them by tapping the 'X' to return to the "audio or text" interface.

The A+ condition
Choosing an A+ condition is more then just a statement. As long as any member has an A+ current condition they are locking down their notification settings to always accept push notifications from any member in the community.
This means that any public message or chat message posted by any user will alert this A+ member with a push notification.
Members who choose this condition are making a statement that they are willing to help if called upon.

Notifications
In Kibosh there are notifications regarding your activity and activities that relate to you.
There are 2 main types of notifications found in Kibosh.

In-App notifications
If you are inside Kibosh interface you will be notified and prompted for features relating to you. This includes buddy requests, chat messages, support messages posted on your condition and prompts to confirm different types of actions.
These notifications appear while the App is opened and shown on your display and are part of the user interface.

Push notifications
While Kibosh is either not running, running in the background of your device or if your screen is locked, you will receive Push notifications according to your settings.
Tapping a Push notification in your Android notifications area will open Kibosh into the relevant screen as described by the notification itself.
The Push notification icon for Kibosh is the hexagon icon Image.

Counters
Kibosh uses counters to direct your attention to key areas in the app.
This includes letting you know how many support messages, chat messages and events you received but did not yet view. Moreover, there are indications for letting you know how many buddy requests are pending your approval.

Total items:
If you have anything that requires your attention as explained above - in all areas of the app (except when the menu or chats are opened) you will find on the top left Image or top rightImage corners counters within small triangles.
If the counter is on the top right corner - then you have unread chat messages. If the triangle is on the top left corner then you have either unread support messages, unread events or pending buddy requests received.

Unread chat messages
The chats will show you both how many total unread chats you have for the entire list and from each member separately. Using circles Image, you will have the indication required for you to understand where you have unseen chats.
The example below shows that you have a total of 3 unread chat messages from all users, 2 from user1242 and 1 from user1239

Unread support messages, events and pending buddy requests
Menu items that can include counters may either be the Buddies List or My condition (support messages and events):
circles002.png

If you have pending buddy requests that you have received the REQUESTS tab of the Buddies List will display a circle with the amount of requests waiting for you to take action:
circles003.png

The received requests counter is the only counter that will remain until you either accept or decline the buddy request. Pending buddy invitations that you have sent will not be added to the counter.

If you either have unread support messages or unseen events posted on your condition, the menu item "My condition" will show a counter.
In order to view these unseen messages or events, enter your current condition screen (menu - My Condition) and you will find the counters on the corresponding tabs STORY (messages) or EVENTS:

How to make the counters drop and disappear?
All unread support messages, events and unread chat messages will disappear once you have viewed them within the proper window (STORY TAB, EVENTS TAB or Chat window respectively)
For pending received buddy requests the counter will drop when you have taken action with the request (accept or decline).
In all instances, once a given counter hits 0 - it will disappear.
